Maintenance Care Guide
Proper maintenance is ideal on all cars, but even more so on ceramic coated vehicles to ensure the best results and greatest longevity of the paint coating. While I understand that everyone is busy and time is a premium, the following schedule is the ideal maintenance plan and the closer you are able to stick to it, the better and longer your coating will perform. All maintenance products mentioned are what I personally use and keep in stock for your needs as well.
General Tips
Hand washing at home is the best option
Never use automatic brush/tunnel washes
Touches washes are okay, never choose to add the spray wax option
Use soft high quality wash mitts and drying towels
Weekly or BI-Weekly Washing
Washing
Wash vehicle using a two-bucket method and a pH neutral soap like Shine Supply Shift… OR
Wash vehicle using a rinseless method and a rinseless wash concentrate like American Detailer Garage (ADG) Wipeout
Wash wheels first so you can dry immediately after you finish washing the vehicle (reduces chances of water spots)
Use a separate bucket/tools for wheels to keep paint tools cleaner
Wash from the top down leaving the dirtiest sections for the end of the wash
Avoid washing in direct sunlight to ensure water doesn’t air dry on the paint, potentially leaving water spots
Drying
Always fully dry your vehicle after washing to avoid potential water spots
Compressed air/blowers aid in removal of water with minimal contact to the paint
Use soft, clean, high quality microfiber drying towels with minimal pressure and a drying aid like ADG Wipeout for any residual water
Annually
Use all washing techniques listed above
Apply a paint decontaminator like Shine Supply Smooth Move to fully and deeply cleanse the paint
Re-wash and dry the vehicle
If necessary/needed lightly polish paint with a light polish to medium polish depending on desired needs
Reapply sprayable coating like Ceramic Pro Sport to retain maximum protection year round
